Azure Monitor
Receive Azure alerts through an action group webhook.
MONITORINGSetup difficulty: Easy
1
Create the integration in NOCBuddy
In NOCBuddy, go to Settings → Integrations → New Integration and choose Azure Monitor. Field mapping and severity are pre-configured. Copy the webhook URL it gives you.
2
Point Azure Monitor at NOCBuddy
- In the Azure portal, open Monitor → Alerts → Action groups and create (or edit) an action group
- Add an action of type 'Webhook' with your NOCBuddy webhook URL, and turn on 'Enable the common alert schema'
- Select that action group in your alert rules
- Azure sends a 'Resolved' notification when the condition clears, which closes the alert (severity Sev0–Sev4 maps to critical–info)
Menu names can vary a little between Azure Monitor versions. Stuck? Send a test alert — if it doesn't appear, the integration's Raw Events log shows exactly what arrived.
3
Recoveries close alerts automatically
When Azure Monitor reports the problem is over, NOCBuddy resolves the matching alert (and its incident, once nothing else in it is open) — no one has to click anything. Pair it with grouping rules, runbooks and one-tap Slack acknowledge for a calm on-call.
