Connect your Slack workspace

1. 1. In NOCBuddy, go to Settings → Integrations → Slack.
2. 2. Click Connect Slack Workspace.
3. 3. You'll be redirected to Slack's OAuth screen — authorize NOCBuddy.
4. 4. Select the default channel for alert notifications.

Configure notification rules

NOCBuddy can send different alert types to different Slack channels. In your workflow builder, add a Notify via Slack action and specify:

• • Target channel (e.g., #alerts-critical)
• • Message template with alert variables
• • Whether to include acknowledge button
• • Thread replies for follow-up notifications

Enable interactive acknowledge buttons

NOCBuddy Slack messages include an Acknowledge button. When a team member clicks it in Slack, the alert is marked as acknowledged in NOCBuddy, the escalation timer stops, and the event is logged.

Set up Slack-to-NOCBuddy commands (optional)

NOCBuddy's Slack bot supports slash commands for quick actions:

• /alertflow status — show active alert count
• /alertflow oncall — show who is currently on-call
• /alertflow ack [alert-id] — acknowledge an alert

Test the integration

In NOCBuddy, go to Settings → Integrations → Slack → Send Test. A test message will appear in your configured Slack channel immediately.
