UptimeRobot
Get UptimeRobot down and up alerts into your on-call flow.
MONITORINGSetup difficulty: Easy
1
Create the integration in NOCBuddy
In NOCBuddy, go to Settings → Integrations → New Integration and choose UptimeRobot. Field mapping and severity are pre-configured. Copy the webhook URL it gives you.
2
Point UptimeRobot at NOCBuddy
- In UptimeRobot, go to My Settings → Alert Contacts → Add Alert Contact and choose 'Web-Hook'
- Set the URL to your NOCBuddy webhook URL, send as POST with JSON, and enable sending 'Up' events
- Use the POST value: {"title":"*monitorFriendlyName* is *alertTypeFriendlyName*","body":"*alertDetails* — *monitorURL*","severity":"*alertTypeFriendlyName*","status":"*alertTypeFriendlyName*","id":"*monitorID*","client":""}
- Enable this alert contact on the monitors you want
Menu names can vary a little between UptimeRobot versions. Stuck? Send a test alert — if it doesn't appear, the integration's Raw Events log shows exactly what arrived.
3
Recoveries close alerts automatically
When UptimeRobot reports the problem is over, NOCBuddy resolves the matching alert (and its incident, once nothing else in it is open) — no one has to click anything. Pair it with grouping rules, runbooks and one-tap Slack acknowledge for a calm on-call.
